Athletes from Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Finland and Lithuania also booked a quota place for their country on another busy day of action in the Hungarian capital.

Aleksandr Chekhirkin overcame 2017 world champion Aik Mnatsakanian of Bulgaria 7-6 in the 77 kilograms division to earn Russia's first quota of the night.

The other available place in the division was claimed by Croatia's Bozo Starcevic, who defeated Oldrich Varga of the Czech Republic 3-1.

Olympic bronze medallist and 2018 world champion Sergey Semenov secured a second quota for Russia after he pinned Hungary's Adam Varga in just 98 seconds in the 130kg weight class.

Lithuania's 130kg quota was clinched by Mantas Knystautas, who ousted Poland's Rafal Krajewski 4-1.

Ramaz Zoidze and Lasha Gobaze ensured Georgian representation at the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the 67kg and 78kg categories, respectively.

Zoidze proved too strong for Armenia's Slavik Galstyan in a 9-1 thrashing, before Balint Korpasi earned a 67kg quota for the hosts by easing to a 6-0 victory over Moldova's Donior Islamov.

Gobadze got the better of Milad Alirzaev at 78kg, emerging from a high-scoring match on the right side of a 9-5 scoreline.

Islam Abbasov of Azerbaijan beat Switzerland's Ramon Betschart in the other 78kg encounter with a Tokyo 2020 quota at stake.

The 60kg quotas were taken by Germany and Turkey thanks to Etienne Kinsinger and Kerem Kamal, respectively.

Kinsinger beat Murad Mammadov of Azerbaijan 5-3, while Kamal edged out Erik Torba of Hungary 5-4.

Kiril Milov sealed Bulgaria's quota in the 97kg category in style with a thumping 9-0 win against Artur Omarov of the Czech Republic.
