One World Para Athletics Grand Prix leg has been cancelled and another postponed indefinitely as the coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt international sporting calendars.

The meeting in São Paulo has been cancelled, while one in Beijing - which had been scheduled to run from April 23 to 25 - has been postponed, with no new dates identified.

China's border is largely shut as a COVID-19 countermeasure, which has lead to the cancellation or postponement of many other contests, including test events for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

Brazil is one of the countries hit hardest by the pandemic and has recorded in excess of 250,000 deaths - second only to the United States.

The calendar changes mean there are only four more Grand Prix events with confirmed dates scheduled ahead of this year's Paralympics, after the Fazza International Athletics Championships in Dubai opened the season earlier this month.

Tunis is due to stage competition from March 18 to 20, before the Italian Open Championships in Italy from April 16 to 18.

A meeting in Paris is scheduled from May 5 to 7, with the ParAthletics meet in Swiss venue Nottwil currently concluding the season from May 14 to 16.

The 2021 European Championships, in Bydgoszcz in Poland, are timetabled for June 1 to 5 and figure to act as another important event in the run-up to Tokyo 2020.
