European University Sports Association (EUSA) President Adam Roczek attended the Sports Students' Union of Ukraine General Assembly virtually.

The General Assembly was held in-person at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, with guests also able to attend online. 

A number of high-profile officials were in attendance, including Government ministers, representatives from national and university sports federations, local councillors and university rectors.

Roczek addressed the audience virtually. 

The General Assembly then heard a report of activities which took place across 2020 and discussed plans for this year. 

Particular focus was given to the European Universities Games, due to take place in Belgrade in Serbia from July 14 to 27, the Summer World University Games in Chengdu in China scheduled to take place from August 18 to 29, and the  Winter Universiade in the Swiss city of Lucerne, set to take place from December 11 to 21. 

The Sports Students' Union of Ukraine also committed to creating a new model for students for physical education and sports until 2025. 

This followed the approval of the recommendations by Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Sergei Shkarlet.

The Sports Students' Union of Ukraine now plans to increase the number of students involved in physical education and sports activities, create modern infrastructure for physical education, improve physical training rates of students, and create a holistic system of identifying capable student youth.

It will also aim to ensure conditions for physical development worthy of Ukrainian representation at international competitions.
