The Italian was victorious in the men's sitting race after outpacing Jesper Pedersen of Norway by 1.13sec at the Austrian resort.

This prevented crystal globe holder Pedersen from extending his winning streak to five races. 

Akira Kano of Japan finished with bronze. 

"I'm happy because the gap from the first place is really small, even if I admit that I could do something more," De Silvestro said. 

"The track conditions are really excellent and it's a fairly technical track, which suits my characteristics. 

"I trained well in this period despite COVID-19 and I think I can still improve, but in any case I am skiing at high levels."

Sweden’s Ebba Årsjö earned yet another women's standing super-G gold medal, having already topped the podium yesterday. 

Russia’s Varvara Voronchikhina was second and Marie Bochet of France third. 

"I’m happy with the season so far, specially the speed races," Årsjö said. 

"My favourite discipline right now is slalom because it is really good at the moment. 

"I also love giant slalom and speed, but the longer the slope, the harder it is for my leg so every win or progress in general in speed is fantastic."

Russia’s Aleksei Bugaev finished just 0.08sec in front of Frenchman Arthur Bauchet in the men's standing, taking revenge for yesterday's result. 

Austria’s Markus Salcher completed the podium. 

Giacomo Bertagnolli of Italy earned another gold alongside guide Andrea Ravelli in the men's visually impaired, with France's Hyacinthe Deleplace and guide Maxime Jourdan taking silver. 

The Czech Republic’s Tadeas Kriz and guide Radim Nevrly clinched bronze.  

The World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup reached its conclusion today.
