Halvor Egner Granerud celebrated victory for a second consecutive day in Willingen, with the Norwegian triumphing in a weather affected competition.

Organisers were forced to cancel qualification today due to challenging wind conditions, with all athletes advancing to the final.

Only one round was possible in the final as wind continued to impact proceedings.

Granerud continued his superb form with the World Cup leader achieving a distance of 149 metres with his sole jump of the competition.

The effort saw Granerud achieve 154.3 points and secure an eighth World Cup win of the season.

He now surpasses Roar Ljøkelsøy for men’s World Cup victories by a Norwegian in a single season, having drawn level yesterday.

Poland’s Piotr Zyla finished as the runner-up, ending nearly 20 points behind on 135.0.

Germany’s Markus Eisenbichler completed the top three on 132.9.

Victory saw Granerud extend his lead at the top of the World Cup standings, as he moved onto 1,206 points from 17 events.

Eisenbichler lies second in the leaderboard on 888 points.

The World Cup season is set to continue at Klingenthal, with competition at the German venue scheduled for February 6 and 7.
