The European University Sports Association (EUSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Italian-speaking Radio Capodistria in Slovenia following years of collaboration.

Part of the national broadcaster RTV Slovenia, this MoU looks to improve relations further between the two organisations.

An Italian language programme of Radio Slovenia, Radio Capodistria is part of the Slovenian public broadcasting service that provides informative needs to the Italian minority in the country.

This MoU looks to strengthen cooperation as they work together in activities and media projects promoting sport and physical activities in Europe.

There will be a special focus on youth and plans to spread information of university sport events, projects and activities.

This agreement will also help to raise public awareness on relevant issues such as dual careers, youth leadership empowerment, volunteering and European/international cooperation in sport.

In recent year, the EUSA activities have been featured in the shows on Radio Capodistria such as the International Day of University Sport celebrations; the European Universities Championship events in Slovenia and Italy; and volunteering projects.

It is also involved in the young journalism scheme known as "PRODUCE", or Promoting Dual Career through Education.

This is co-founded by the Erasmus Programme of the European Union and coordinated by the EUSA Institute.

One of Radio Capodistria's journalists, Antonio Saccone, is a mentor in the programme having guided young reporters to two European Universities Championships held in 2019 in Koper in Slovenia and Zagreb in Croatia.

In recent months, university sport and EUSA-related content has aired on the "A ritmo di sport" radio show on the station too.
