Dates for the three remaining continental Olympic qualifiers have been confirmed by United World Wrestling (UWW), as part of an update to the sport's international calendar.

The governing body had confirmed in May that the hosts of the qualifiers were unchanged from the postponed events this year, with Xi'an in China, El Jadidda in Morocco and Hungary's capital Budapest holding competitions.

El Jadidda is scheduled to host the Africa and Oceania Olympic qualifier from March 12 to 14, with Budapest staging the European qualifier from March 19 to 21.

Xi'an is due to hold the Asian qualifier from March 26 to 28.

Wrestlers will then have a final chance to secure a Tokyo 2020 berth at the World Olympic Games qualifier in Sofia.

This event is scheduled to take place from April 29 to May 2 in Bulgaria's capital city.

Exactly half of the wrestling berths at the Games had been earned before the coronavirus pandemic forced the postponement of Tokyo 2020 until next year.

Six in each division were earned at the World Championships while two places in each category were won at the Pan American qualification tournament.

UWW also confirmed the Oceania Championships will be held in American Samoa from January 29 to 31, with the African Championships following in Marrakech in Morocco from February 2 to 7.

Poland will host the European Championships, with the event due to take place in Katowice from February 8 to 14.

Almaty in Kazakhstan is scheduled to host the Asian Championships between February 16 and 21.

UWW say the dates are at the beginning of the year in order to add in the Olympic qualifiers.

The Pan-Am Championships will take place later in the year due to continent's Olympic qualifier having already been held.

The event is scheduled for May 27 to 30 in Rio de Janeiro.

The Cadet World Championships have been moved to the end of July to ensure the event does not clash with the re-arranged Olympic Games.

UWW says there will not be a full month between the Cadet Continental Championships and the Cadet World Championships, but the deadline linked with the registrations remains the same.

The Cadet Pan-American Championships was confirmed as the qualification event for the inaugural Junior Pan American Games, which are scheduled to take place in Cali in Colombia from June 5 to 19 next year.

Argentina is set to host both the Cadet and Junior Pan-American Championships at the same time in an effort to reduce costs.

The postponement of the Dakar 2022 Youth Olympics until 2026 has led to UWW confirming that the Cadet Continental Championships in 2022 will once again be held at the end of June.
