Sports drink company iQ Fuel has signed on as a partner of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association (SIF).

iQ Fuel, based in Stockholm, is set to provide the Swedish national team with its products as part of the two-year agreement.

A vitamin-enriched focus drink and a vitamin-enriched fluid replacement filled with electrolytes will be the main products given to the squad, iQ Fuel said.

"It feels very fun that iQ Fuel is stepping in as a partner and a partner who actively wants to support and contribute to the development of Swedish ice hockey," said SIF sales and sponsorship manager Daniel Ivarsson.

"iQ Fuel delivers products that we like and now we look forward to an exciting and rewarding collaboration."

iQ Fuel founder and chief executive Thomas Johansson said the company was delighted to be working with the SIF.

"We are opening a new gap in the market and are extremely tagged for our collaboration with the SIF and the national team," he said.

"We look forward to spreading joy and positive energy to everyone."

Sweden's men are double Olympic gold medallists having won the title at Lillehammer 1994 and Turin 2006.

The squad also claimed the world title in 2018.

Sweden's women have also won medals at major events, including two Olympic silvers and two bronze medals at the World Championship.
