Hungarian club Tokaj Teqball hosted the first-ever international teqball camp in the village of Bodrogkeresztúr.

It took place over five days and featured men, women and juniors from two countries – Poland and Hungary.

Among those to take part was the current world ranking leader in teqball, Adrian Duszak from Poland.

Support for the camp was provided by the Federation of International Teqball (FITEQ) to make sure it ran as planned.

Other sponsorship partners alongside FITEQ included Saller Sport Hungary, Liiteguard, Füleky Winery and Rozgonyi Winery.

There were a total of 13 participants, with one woman, six juniors and six professional players involved.

The professionals all came from Warsaw, alongside Duszak.

There are now plans for two women's and two junior events, with tournaments scheduled for September 5 and November 7.

Patrik Borbély, a member of the Tokaj Teqball team, said: "I created the camp for the younger and under-aged teqball players, but not only children were interested about it.

"Also adults – mainly professional players from all around the world.

"Only the developing COVID-19 situation caused the Romanian, Czech, Montenegrin and Ukrainian players to not join the camp.

"Next time, next year, we would like to repeat the camp with a much bigger number of participants from all over the world."
