South Korea's Para-taekwondo athlete Kook-Hyun Han has admitted that "uncertainties" have affected him during his preparations for the sport's Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020.

The Games in Japan's capital have been moved back to 2021 while the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the training routines of athletes around the world.

A further blow for Han was that both the Asian Para Taekwondo Championships and the Asian Qualification Tournament for the 2020 Paralympic Games were postponed.

He first took up Para-taekwondo in 1998 so his wait to appear at the Games has lasted more than two decades.

"Uncertainties have hindered me a lot," Han, who competes in the K44 under-61 kilograms class, said.

"But nothing can stop me from chasing my Paralympic dream which I've been waiting for 22 years."

Han did manage to attend training camps at the Korean Paralympic Training Centre in Incheon in January and March.
