Rugby Europe has cancelled and postponed several of their events due to the ongoing crisis surrounding COVID-19.

The Under-20 XV European Championship, set for Coimbra in Portugal, has been cancelled as well as all under-18 games and tournaments, including the XV Under-18 European Championship in Kaliningrad in Russia.

Other events to be cancelled include the Men's and Women's Senior Sevens Conference 1 and 2 tournaments, with the same pools being kept for the 2021 season with no promotion or relegation between the divisions this year.

The Men's Senior XV Conference 1, Conference 2, Development and Women's Trophy divisions will also not crown champions with the same pools being kept for next year.

Although there are no official rescheduled dates, the Club Sevens Championship and Beach Rugby competitions have both been postponed.

The Women's XV Rugby Europe Championship, which has two matches left, and the men's equivalent, which has three matches left, have both been postponed.

There will be no relegation from the Men's XV Rugby Europe Trophy and the competition will be postponed with six matches to play.

It is understood that no team will be forced to play or face sanctions if they are unable to.

Men's and Women Senior Sevens Championships and Trophy Divisions have also been postponed, with no teams set to be relegated.

Rugby Europe's Board of Directors will meet again in a month's time to reassess the situation of the postponed events, depending on the COVID-19 situation on the continent.
