Winners of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Nordic Combined Awards have been announced, with Jarl Magnus Riiber and Tara Geraghty-Moats taking the top prizes.

Norway's Riiber, who retained his FIS Nordic Combined World Cup crown this season, was unanimously named men's athlete of the year.

All nine journalist judges voted for Riiber and he also topped the public poll.

Riiber additionally won the award for moment of the year following his excellent Sunday in Trondheim.

He secured the overall World Cup title on that day, broke Hannu Manninen's single-season win record and matched Bjarte Engen Vik as Norway's most successful Nordic Combined athlete.

American Geraghty-Moats, who won this season's Continental Cup, was named the women's athlete of the year.

Norway's Peder Sandell, along with jumping coaches Tom Hilde and Stian Kvarstad, were recognised as the year's best coaches.

Another Norwegian - 19-year-old Jens Lurås Oftebro - won rookie of the year after collecting nine of the 10 votes.

There was no ceremony because of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, but the FIS said it hopes to hold one in the future if the pandemic will allow it.
