The International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) is accepting entries for the Blind Football European Championships Division Two.

The competition is scheduled to take place in Romania’s capital city Bucharest from October 4 to 11.

The event will be hosted by the National Paralympic Committee of Romania and the Romanian Association of the Blind.

Support will also be given by the Romanian Football Federation.

Organisers say the tournament will be held at the Romanian Football Federation’s training base in Mogoșoaia.

Teams have a deadline of July 15 to confirm participation at the Championships, with participation fees due a month later.

A full list of travelling team members will need to be provided by September 1, along with travel details.

The event is open to the two bottom-placed teams at the 2019 European Championships.

Romania and Greece were the bottom two teams at the Championships.

Romania has played host and taken the title on both previous occasions the IBSA Blind Football European Championships Division Two have been held.

Georgia finished second at the first edition in Bacău in 2017 and Greece were the runners-up at the second edition in Bucharest in 2019.
