Ashleigh Barty has become an ambassador of Danone’s YoPRO brand, which is working in partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) to build momentum for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Women's tennis' world number one became an ambassador of the high-protein yoghurt alongside Rio 2016 Olympic swimming gold medallist Kyle Chalmers and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games high jump champion Brandon Starc.

All three will star in a series of campaign videos that build on YoPRO’s "Fuel Your Journey" platform.

"Any opportunity to wear the green and gold is special and I’m hoping to be selected for my first Olympic Games this year," Barty said.

"I’m excited to partner with YoPRO as they help fuel me on the journey to Tokyo.

"Being included in YoPRO’s Olympic campaign with other Aussie athletes is something different for me and I’ve loved the opportunity to be involved."

Other Australian athletes have also been signed up, including multiple-time canoe slalom world champion Jess Fox, beach volleyball player Mariafe Artacho del Solar, diver Domonic Bedggood, triathlete Matthew Hauser and gymnast Mitchell Morgans.

YoPRO announced its partnership with the AOC last year, pledging to support Australia's Olympic team.

"We are excited to be partnering with Australia’s brightest stars as well as young up and coming talent for what is the pinnacle sporting event in the world," said YoPRO brand manager Xavier Gonzalez.

"YoPRO’s high protein, no added sugar products are the perfect training partner to keep them fuelled on their journey."
