Germany's Benedikt Duda cruised into the main draw of the International Table Tennis Federation Hungarian Open with a perfect record in qualifying at the tournament in Budapest.

Duda swept aside Russian Kirill Skachkov at Budapest Olympic Hall to ensure he reached the main draw without losing a game.

The German recorded a 14-12, 11-5, 11-4, 11-5 victory over Skachkov in the fourth round of the preliminary stage.

Japan's Shunsuke Togami was among the other qualifiers after he defeated Belgium’s Martin Allegro 11-7, 11-8, 11-7, 11-3.

Togami's compatriot Yukiya Uda is also through following a battling 8-11, 11-8, 8-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-9 victory over England's Paul Drinkhall.

There was also success for Japan in the women's event as Miyu Nagasaki and Sakura Mori progressed into the main draw.

Nagasaki dispatched Lee Ho Ching of Hong Kong 11-3, 11-4, 11-5, 11-7, while Mori beat Slovakia's Tatiana Kukulkova 11-5, 11-6, 11-3, 11-2.

The main draw begins with the opening set of round-of-32 matches tomorrow.
