The fourth stage of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Tour, part of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup, is set to take place tomorrow from Storlien in Sweden to Meråker in Norway.

The event is made up of men's and women's 38 kilometres freestyle mass start competitions.

It comes on the back of stages one to three in Östersund and Åre in Sweden and will be followed by stages five and six in the Norwegian city of Trondheim on Saturday and Sunday (February 22 and 23).

Norway's Pål Golberg currently leads the overall men's standings in 1 hour 6min 37sec, giving him an advantage of 23 seconds over Russia's Alexander Bolshunov.

Third place is occupied by Norway's Sjur Røthe, who is 42 seconds behind.

Bolshunov tops the overall FIS Cross-Country World Cup standings on 1,760 points, with Norway’s Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, the winner of yesterday's sprint freestyle event in Åre, second on 1,278 and compatriot Røthe third on 992.

The overall FIS Ski Tour and FIS Cross-Country World Cup standings for women are led by Norway's Therese Johaug.

The 31-year-old has won all three stages on the FIS Ski Tour thus far and sits on a time of 50:31.

She leads a Norwegian top four, with Heidi Weng 1:07 back in second, Ingvild Flugstad Østberg 1:56 back in third and Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen 1:59 back in fourth.

In the FIS Cross-Country World Cup standings, Johaug has amassed 1,840 points to date and holds a lead of 580 over Russia's Natalia Nepryaeva and Weng.
