The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Ski World Cup is set to continue tomorrow with a men's slalom event in Austrian town Schladming.

The event comes hot on heels of yesterday's men's slalom in another Austrian town, Kitzbühel, where Switzerland's Daniel Yule triumphed.

Victory for Yule moved him up to second place in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup standings for men's slalom.

The 26-year-old has 435 points his name, putting him 17 behind leader Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway.

France's Clément Noël, the bronze medallist in Kitzbühel behind Austria's Marco Schwarz, is third with 400 points.

Kristoffersen, who had to settle for a joint fourth-place finish in Kitzbühel, also tops the overall World Cup standings with 741 points.

Fellow Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde is second on 700 points, and Austria’s Matthias Mayer, who won the men's downhill event in Kitzbühel on Saturday (January 25), is third on 692.

Action in Schladming is due to take place at night time, with the first run scheduled for 5:45pm CET and the second for 8:45pm CET.
