It is a first win of the season for the defending World Cup title holder, who finished the two heats with a 0.19-second lead over team mate Laura Nolte.

It is a fifth win in the BMW IBSF World Cup for Olympic and world champion Jamanka, who raced with brake athlete Annika Drazek.

Second place went to 2016 Winter Youth Olympic champion Laura Nolte, also of Germany, who made it three out of three World Cup podium finishes, racing for the first time with Erline Nolte - no relation. 

Third place went to 2010 and 2014 Olympic champion Kaillie Humphries from the United States, racing with Sylvia Hoffmann. 

In the overall standings, Humphries retains her lead at the top, with 1,034 points. 

German Stephanie Schneider is in second with 1,011points, with Jamanka third on 995.

In the men's two-man bob, defending World Cup title holder Francesco Friedrich of Germany delivered his third successive win. 

Racing with Thorsten Margis, the Olympic and world champion finished the two heats with a 0.74 second lead over a surprise pair in second place. 

In an historic result, Britain's Brad Hall and Greg Cackett delivered the best finish for a British two-man bobsleigh team in 30 years. 

Another surprise was junior world champion taking out bronze, alongside Tobias Schneider, delivering their first podium finish, just 0.01 seconds ehind the British pair. 

Friedrich now has a huge lead at the top of overall standings with 885 points. 

Switzerland's Michael Vogt with 688 points is in second, with Canadian Justin Kripps on 672 third.
