Italian resort Madonna di Campiglio is set to play host to a men's slalom event tomorrow, as the International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Skiing World Cup season continues. 

France's Clément Noël comes into the event at the top of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup standings for the discipline, having triumphed in Croatia's capital Zagreb on Sunday (January 5).

The 22-year-old has 180 points to his name, giving him a five-point advantage over nearest challenger André Myhrer of Sweden.

Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen is a further 13 points behind in third place.

Compatriot Aleksander Aamodt Kilde is the leader of the overall World Cup standings with 474 points.

Italy's Dominik Paris is second on 454 points, while France's Alexis Pinturault is third with 430.

The slalom in Madonna di Campiglio is a night event.

The first run is due to begin at 5.45pm (CET), with the second scheduled for 8.45pm (CET).
