There was sweet revenge for Ikuma Horishima in Thaiwoo ©FIS

The big guns continue to fire in the moguls competition of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle Ski World Cup.

One of the venues for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Thaiwoo, China, is hosting this weekend's action, with the first dual moguls of the campaign tomorrow.

It was no surprise to see Japan's Ikuma Horishima and Canada's Mikaël Kingsbury battling for moguls bragging rights.

Last weekend in Ruka, Finland, Kingsbury marked his 100th FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup appearance with victory in the opening event of the season.

However, the roles were reversed today, as Kingsbury was edged out of top spot by Horishima, with France's Benjamin Cavet in third.

In the women's moguls, it was no surprise to see Perrine Laffont of France take the top prize - following on from her success in Ruka last week.

However, there were new faces on the podium, with Kazakhstan's Yulia Galysheva in second and Canada's Justine Dufour-Lapointe finishing third.

Dual moguls will round off competition tomorrow, with the third stop on the moguls roadshow hosted by Mont-Tremblant in Canada on January 25 next year.
