Top seed Inna Deriglazova of Russia will face Nora Hajas in the last-64 of the International Fencing Federation Women's Foil World Cup in Saint-Maur in France, after the Hungarian came through the preliminary rounds today.

Hajas initially advanced from Pool 10 before beating home athlete Chloe Jubenot 15-9 and Great Britain's Yasmin Campbell 8-7 at the Centre Sportif Pierre Brossolette.

It sets up a meeting with Deriglazova, the reigning world and Olympic champion.

Second seed Alice Volpi of Italy faces Hong Kong's Liu Yan Wai, who also came through the preliminary rounds.

Liu clinched her place in the last-64 by defeating Germany's Kim Kirschen 15-6.

Action in Saint-Maur is due to continue tomorrow.

The individual event is scheduled to conclude, with a team event on Sunday (December 15).
