The boys whitewashed Chinese Taipei 3-0 in their final at Terminal 21 in the Thai city, with the girls defeating Japan 3-1.

It's the third year in a row that China have won both team titles, after they also doubled up in Bendigo last year and in Riva del Garda in 2017.

They have now claimed both crowns in the same year a remarkable 14 times since the debut of Championships in 2003, and have only missed out on one of the titles four times in that period.

In the boys' final the Chinese did not drop a game, with Peng Xiang first beating Yi-Hsin Feng 11-9, 11-8, 11-7.

Yingbin Xu put his country on the brink of victory in the best-of-five format by defeating Ming-Wei Tai 11-7, 11-7, 11-7, and Yebo Liu sealed success with an 11-6, 11-7, 11-9 win over Yan-Cheng Huang.

The girls' final got off to an exciting start as China's Xunyao Shi came from 2-0 down to defeat Japan's Miyu Nagasaki.

Shi eventually came through 11-13, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-8.

Man Kuai then strengthened China's position as she defeated Kyoka Idesawa 13-11, 11-13, 11-6, 11-7.

Japan were given hope as Miyuu Kihara registered a point by beating Yi Chen 11-3, 9-11, 11-3, 11-7, but it was in vain as Shi returned to settle the final, beating Idesawa 10-12, 14-12, 11-7, 11-8. 

Action in the singles and doubles events continue the Championships tomorrow.
