Under-18 and under-21 athletes contested the duo men and women contests at the Mubadala Arena, with Slovenia making their mark across both Youth World Championship age categories.

The first gold came in the under-18 duo males final as Slovenia overcame their rivals from Thailand.

Bronze medals went to Belgium and Romania.

Slovenia followed up by topping the podium in the under-18 duo mixed discipline, overcoming Austria in the final, as Thailand took both bronze medals.

The Netherlands claimed the duo female title with victory against Thailand.

Greece and Romania collected the bronze medals.

A third gold for Slovenia came in the under-21 duo males contest as they beat Germany to top the podium.

Romania and Sweden shared third place.

Romania won a pair of gold medals by triumphing in the under-18 show female and show mixed finals.

They defeated Thailand in both finals before the Thai team turned the tables on their close rivals to win gold in the under-18 show males event.

Russia took the plaudits in the under-21 mixed show final with victory against the only other competitor in the category, Germany.

In the Para ju-jitsu self defence class, Nathalie Frisk defeated Swedish compatriot Jenny Oster Hal to earn gold.

No bronze medal was awarded, with the Swedish athletes being the only two entrants in the competition.

JJIF President Panagiotis Theororopulos was joined by United Arab Emirates Ju-Jitsu Federation chief executive Fahad Al Shamsi and Mirzo Ilya, vice-president of Kazakhstan Ju-Jitsu Association to present medals on day three.

The JJIF World Championships continue tomorrow with further Para ju-jitsu and under-21 team events.
