The International Floorball Federation (IFF) has appointed Protocol Sports Marketing as its new exclusive worldwide media-rights distributor and sponsorship agency and tasked them with growing the game beyond its traditional markets.

The Toronto-based company had been taken on to develop, market and distribute media and sponsorship assets for all IFF events, but also help expand beyond its traditional heartlands of Scandinavia, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

"Floorball has experienced steady growth over the past few years, culminating in the sport's inclusion in the 2017 World Games and a highly successful 2018 Men's World Floorball Championship," John Liljelund, secretary general at the IFF, said.

"We are excited to collaborate with Protocol Sports as we expand the sport of Floorball globally to enhance the awareness and market value of the sport."
