The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) organised the fifth edition of the International Women and Sport Conference.

Held over two days in Taipei, the event was staged under the theme "Women: The Makers of Sustainable Development in Sport".

Topics included women's empowerment and leadership, health promotion and safe sport.

CTOC President Hong-Dow Lin was in attendance, alongside the CTOC Women and Sport Commission chair, Feng-Chi Chu.

Speakers from overseas included Baklai Temengil, an International Olympic Committee member who is also secretary general of the Palau NOC.

Fortune Belrose, the President of the St Lucia Olympic Committee (SLOC), and Beng Choo Low, secretary general of the World Baseball Softball Confederation, were among others to present.

During the conference, the CTOC signed a cooperation agreement with the SLOC.

The Caribbean nation became the 38th country to sign such a deal with the Taiwanese body.
