South Korea and China have won the second-round pools at the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, with the teams involved in the semi-finals having already been decided.

Korea and Thailand were guaranteed the top two places in Pool E, while China and Japan had already secured the Pool F qualification spaces.

Those sides met in Seoul to decide the final-four layout.

South Korea and Thailand played first, and the hosts took victory 3-1, winning 25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21.

The evening game went all the way to five sets before China finally defeated Japan 14-25, 25-11, 25-21, 18-25, 15-12.

It means South Korea face Japan tomorrow afternoon, with China against Thailand in the evening, and the final on Sunday (August 25).

Elsewhere, Chinese Taipei consigned Iran to the bottom of Group E with a four-set victory, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-12.

In Group E, Kazakhstan took third by beating Indonesia in straight sets, 25-19, 25-15, 25-18.

It means Chinese Taipei face Indonesia in tomorrow's fifth to eighth classification matches, while Kazakhstan play Iran.

The other game saw Sri Lanka to finish bottom ranked of the 13 teams competing in the South Korean capital.

They were beaten 3-0 by Australia, 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.
