Nearly 40 athletes have been named in the GB Park and Pipe squads for the 2019-2020 season.

The ski squad is spearheaded by slopestyle world champion James Woods and Izzy Atkin, who has finished on Olympic, World Championship, World Cup and X Games podiums.

It also includes Madi Rowlands, who made a late-season return from injury in March and achieved a World Cup top-10 finish, and two-time Olympian Katie Summerhayes, targeting a return after a long injury lay-off.

Young guns Zoe Atkin, Connie Brogden and Kirsty Muir feature in the squad, with GB Park and Pipe claiming their ongoing development will be exciting to watch.

It is completed by Chris McCormick, who had a breakthrough campaign in 2018-2019, and Tyler Harding, who has been working hard to return from injury.

The ski "B" squad is made up of Harris Booth, Mason Ferebee, Tom Greenway, Felix Klein, Jasper Klein, Mike Rowlands, Cal Sandieson, Justin Taylor-Tipton, Sam Ward and Harry Wright.

The snowboard squad is led by four athletes selected for the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games and is considered an exciting mix of youth and experience.

After more than a year on the sidelines, Katie Ormerod managed a pair of Europa Cup second-place finishes in March and already has an Australia New Zealand Cup victory to her credit this month.

Promising 12-year-old Mia Brookes is the other woman in the "A" squad.

Pyeongchang 2018 bronze medallist Billy Morgan and fellow Olympians Jamie Nicholls and Rowan Coultas lead the men’s charge, along with Matt McCormick, who registered his first World Cup top-10 finish last season.

European Youth Olympic Festival bronze medallist Gabe Adams has been selected, along with Fin Bremner, Billy Cockrell and Ciaran Tucker.

The snowboard "B" squad comprises Koby Cook, Leon Drynan, Fraser Jack, Max Jorge, Logan King, Lewis Moore, Ethan Smith and Liam Tynan.

The 2019-2020 World Cup season begins this weekend in Cardrona in New Zealand with a snowboard big air event.

It will be followed by a ski halfpipe at the same venue on September 6 and 7.

"The strength of the 'A' squad is evidenced by the fact that last season its athletes took out titles World and Junior World Championships as well as finishing on the podium at X Games, World Cups and the European Youth Olympic Festival," a GB Park and Pipe statement reads.

"The 'B' squads are also strong with a number of athletes already featuring at World Cups and earning top-three finishes at Europa Cup level."
