Egypt will take on hosts South Africa tomorrow in their bid to secure a spot at Tokyo 2020 after they claimed a fourth successive victory at the International Hockey Federation African Olympic Qualifier in Stellenbosch.

The Egyptians fell behind when Ernest Opoku gave Ghana a shock lead but they fought back to win 3-1 at Stellenbosch University in the South African town.

Hossam Ghobran, Mohamed Ragab and Amir Ibrahim got on the scoresheet as Egypt maintained their perfect start.

Austin Smith scored a brace as South Africa won 4-0 against Kenya to join Egypt at the top of the table on 12 points.

The sides meet in the final group matches tomorrow, with just the winners securing a ticket to the Olympic Games.

Dayaan Cassiem and Keenan Horne were the host's other scorers against Kenya.

Tony O'Riordan and Gift Chomunorwa put Zimbabwe ahead twice in their 2-2 draw with Namibia.

Brynn Cleak and Cody van der Merwe hit back for Namibia but both sides were already out of contention for Olympic qualification.

In the women's qualifying tournament, South Africa lead the standings after winning a third successive group match.

Erin Hunter, Tarryn Glasby and Ongeziwe Mali scored in a 3-0 win against Kenya to put them in the driving seat for Olympic qualification.

Ghana beat Namibia 3-0 to move onto seven points with Elizabeth Opoku, Debora Whyte and Ernestina Coffie scored the goals.

South Africa will face Ghana tomorrow, with the winners securing top spot and a place at Tokyo 2020.
