The 2019 Wheelchair Rugby League Four Nations tournament will be held in Wrexham, Wales Rugby League has announced.

The tournament – between England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland – will take place at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre on September 28 and 29.

Welsh manager Mark Jones is excited to have home advantage.

This is the first time the tournament has been held outside England and we're excited that it is coming to Wales," he said.

"We are working hard with our venue host to make this an event to remember."

The tournament returns for just the fourth time, with Wales finishing as runners-up behind England in 2012 and 2016.

Since 2016, Wales have annually contested the Celtic Cup against Scotland and Ireland.

They remain unbeaten in the tournament having won all four editions.
