Lewis Anderson's remarkable run at the World Squash Federation Junior Championships in Kuala Lumpur continued today as the unseeded Englishman booked a semi-final clash with top ranked Mostafa Asal.

Anderson beat seeded players in the third and fourth rounds at the National Squash Centre in Malaysia's capital yesterday and repeated the trick in the quarter finals by knocking out Indian 9/12 seed Veer Chotrani.

Anderson triumphed in four games, winning 11-8, 11-9, 9-11, 11-7 in 41 minutes.

He is now set to Egypt's Asal in the semi-finals after the number one seed crushed the final home hopeful in the men's singles draw, Siow Yee Xian.

Asal took just 27 minutes to knock the 5/8 seed out in straight games, 11-3, 11-4, 11-1.

The other semi-final is due to be an all-Egyptian affair between second seed Omar El Torkey and 3/4 seed Mostafa El Serty.

El Torkey brushed fellow Egyptian Yehia Elnawasany aside in 25 minutes, 11-6, 11-2, 11-3 and El Serty was given a sterner test by England's Sam Todd.

El Serty needed four games and 39 minutes to see him off, eventually winning 11-6, 11-7, 8-11, 11-5.

The women's draw continued its predictability meanwhile as the top four seeds all won their way into the semi-finals.

Top ranked Hania El Hammamy of Egypt was briefly stretched by Hong Kong's 5/8 seed Chan Sin Yuk before winning 14-12, 11-3, 12-10 in 32 minutes.

She is now set to play fellow Egyptian and 3/4 seed Farida Mohamed in the semis, after she beat Malaysia's 5/8 seed Chan Yiwen in four games, 3-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-9 in 36 minutes.

The second seed, Jana Shiha of Egypt, ended the challenge of United States' 5/8 ranked Marina Stefanoni in 31 minutes, coming from behind to win 7-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-7.

The only non-Egyptian woman left in the draw is also the only Malaysian singles challenger standing – 3/4 seed Aifa Azman beat England's Elise Lazarus 12-10, 11-8, 11-5 in 28 minutes.

The semi-finals are due to take place tomorrow.
