Tunisia, aiming to win a 10th Men’s African Volleyball Championship in their capital Tunis, powered on tonight to win their third consecutive match at El Menzah Sports Palace today.

The hosts, defending the title they earned in 2017, won their penultimate Pool A match against Algeria 25-20, 26-20, 25-19.

Tunisia also secured the title in 1967, 1971, 1979, 1987, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2003. 

Egypt, winners of their first two matches in Pool B, hit reality checkpoint against Cameroon, who joined them at the top end of the table after a dominant 25-18, 25-13, 25-19 victory.

Morocco earned their first win at the third time of asking in Pool B, defeating Burundi 25-27, 25-11, 25-11, 25-12.

Chad, beaten 3-0 by the hosts in their opening Pool A game, earned a 22-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-8 win over Botswana in their second.
