Olympic champion Diana Bacosi added another major title to her growing collection as she claimed the women's skeet gold medal as the International Shooting Sport Federation World Shotgun Championship came to an end in Italy.

The 35-year-old delighted the home crowd at the Lonata Del Garda range by shooting a total of 58 targets in today's final.

Bacosi scored five more than China's Wei Meng, who was forced to settle for silver having hit 53 targets.

The bronze medal was earned by Sweden's Victoria Larsson on 44.

Victory for Bacosi continued her impressive performance at the World Championship as she partnered fellow Olympic champion Gabriele Rossetti to mixed skeet title on Sunday (July 7).

It ensured she maintained her success in the sport following her triumph in the women's skeet at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
