Belgium’s Pieter Devos will be hoping to regain the lead in the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) rankings when the ninth leg takes place in Portuguese coastal town Estoril tomorrow.

Devos returns to action having missed last weekend’s event in Sweden’s capital Stockholm.

He currently sits in second place on 178 points, 12 behind Germany’s Daniel Deusser who is not competing in Estoril.

Sweden’s Peder Fredricson is third with 160 points, while Britain’s Ben Maher is fourth with 150.

Among the other riders hoping to make their mark at Estoril’s Hipódromo Manuel Possolo are Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels and Britain’s Scott Brash, who occupy fifth and seventh place, respectively.

Fredricson triumphed in Stockholm last weekend.

Second place went to fellow Swede Malin Baryard-Johnsson, while Belgium's Jos Verlooy was third.

Estoril has been on the LGCT circuit since its inception in 2006.
