Brazil and Argentina will again go head to head for honours after they reached the final of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Football Americas Championship.

Hosts Brazil defeated Mexico 5-0, Jardiel tucking in a superb free-kick for the pick of the goals.

Argentina had earlier seen off Colombia 1-0, meaning they and Brazil have reached Sunday's final with a game to spare.

The game – between the top two sides in the world, according to the IBSA rankings – will double as a qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

The sides met in the 2017 Americas final where Argentina won 2-1, and in the 2018 IBSA Blind Football World Championship in Madrid, which Brazil won.

The other game at Brazil Paralympic Training Centre on Friday took place between Peru and Chile, who had both lost all three of their games thus far.

Chile, who had not even scored a goal until this match, were comprehensive 4-1 victors.
