Last year’s edition of the Emakumeen Euskal Bira was won by Australia’s Amanda Spratt.

She finished ahead of Dutchwomen Annemiek van Vleuten and Anna van der Breggen, the second and third-place finishers respectively.

Van der Breggen came out on top at last week’s Tour of California.

Boels-Dolmans team-mate Katie Hall ranked second at her home event, while South Africa’s Ashleigh Moolman, the 2017 Emakumeen Euskal Bira champion, came third.
