Loan Bozzolo and Chloe Passerat won gold for France in the mixed team snowboard cross event at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle Ski World Junior Championships in Reiteralm.

The mixed team snowboard cross event is making its debut at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and was on the FIS World Championships programme for the first time in Utah in February.

Today it made its first appearance at the World Junior Championships, with Passerat and Bozzolo taking the gold for France. 

Bozzolo was the victor in the men's final yesterday, while Passerat had secured silver in the women's event. 

Switzerland's Sina Sigenthaler and Gabriel Zweifef earned silver after they finished second.

Italy's Ester Gross and Filippo Ferrari took bronze.

A second French team of individual bronze medallist Alexia Queyrel and Benjamin Gattaz were fourth. 

The team event concluded the Championships in Reiteralm and ended this season's FIS snowboard cross major competition calendar.
