Netball New Zealand has announced a three-year media partnership with MediaWorks which will showcase netball across the country.

MediaWorks is a New Zealand-based television, radio and interactive media company owning brands such as More FM, The Breeze, The Edge and Mai FM.

Netball will be showcased across New Zealand through these brands.

More FM will become the official radio station of the ANZ Premiership, the country’s premier netball tournament due to begin on February 24 at the Claudelands Arena in Hamilton.

"MediaWorks is thrilled to be moving from super fan status to official media partner with Netball New Zealand," said MediaWorks head of radio commercial Tim Lockhart.

"The synergies between our target audiences present outstanding opportunities for both parties."

Netball New Zealand chief executive Jennie Wyllie believes the deal will have positive effects for the sport.

"The team at MediaWorks is committed to connecting, enriching and inspiring Kiwis and those are certainly values which resonate with us," she said.

"We look forward to working with MediaWorks’ brands to help raise the profile of netball at all levels from grassroots through to Silver Ferns."
