Ganus penned the cooperation deal with interim RBF President Elena Anikina at a signing ceremony in Moscow today.

He said the agreement would bring the RBF's anti-doping work "back to normality" after bobsleigh was found to have been one of the sports at the heart of the Russian doping scandal which corrupted the 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi.

Bobsledders Alexander Zubkov, Alexander Kasjanov, Aleksei Pushkarev, Ilvir Khuzin and Alexei Voevoda have all been banned for their role in the doping scheme in operation at the Games in the Russian city.

Zubkov, stripped of the Olympic gold medals he won in the two and four-man events at Sochi 2014, temporarily stood down as RBF President after he was suspended for two years by the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation.

"This is a well-timed agreement for the RBF, it will allow to bring the federation's anti-doping work back to normalcy, and - with earnest and effective activities management - to ensure that credibility of the federation as well as of all the Russian sports in general is re-established in the international sports community," Ganus said.

"Our task is to exercise anti-doping leadership in combating doping in Russia, and all clean athletes and specialists, our federations and all persons concerned are very welcome to join in and be part of that work."

Anikina, who assumed interim charge of the RBF following Zubkov's decision to step aside, welcomed the agreement with RUSADA, which she claimed is "one of the best anti-doping agencies in the world".

"Anti-doping work is a priority for our federation, and RUSADA, being one of the best anti-doping agencies in the world, will help us once again properly highlight key areas of our work and help athletes with fairness and dignity win medals and promote our sport all over the world," she said.

According to the RBF, the deal with RUSADA will include areas such as education and investigation.

It will also see RUSADA carry out targeted testing of the bobsledders and skeleton athletes "in line with the regulations and without prior notice".

"Considerable attention in the agreement is given to activities with the RBF athletes, both with regard to informing persons responsible of alleged anti-doping violations, and with regard to advocacy of clean sport," the RBF added.
