Infront Sports and Media has claimed that new sponsors and familiar partners of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine World Ski Championships and Nordic World Ski Championships will benefit from global coverage across 40 broadcasters and 175 countries this year.

The leading sports marketing company has sold all international sponsoring packages for the 2019 editions of both events.

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships begun in Åre in Sweden on Monday (February 4) and are due to run until February 17, while the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships are scheduled to take place in Seefeld in Austria from February 19 to March 3.

Infront is the host broadcaster for both events for the first time and is responsible for the full delivery of media production, including the running of the international broadcast centre and all broadcaster servicing.

It will be offering 53 hours of live coverage for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and 58 hours for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, including action from all races, the opening and closing ceremonies as well as medal presentations.

The combined total potential households reached will be in excess of 815 million globally, with full worldwide coverage when news and highlights distribution is taken into account.

Infront is collaborating with SVT in Sweden for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and production will be done remotely for the first time.

More than 150 people will help deliver 80 camera signals from the course to three broadcast control rooms in Stockholm.

The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, meanwhile, will see ORF and Infront collaborate in what will be a new benchmark for quality and delivery for the event.

"The FIS Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships are an opportunity for brands to reach a broad audience, and the support of all sponsors is testament to that," Bruno Marty, Infront’s senior vice-president for winter sports, said.

"The continued improvement in advertising implementation and high quality of broadcast production means sponsors and broadcasters can be guaranteed high exposure during two flagship events of the FIS season."

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships sees Swedish leisure and retail company SkiStar introduced as the presenting sponsor with sports betting company Unibet also supporting as main sponsor for the first time.

They join Audi, Pirelli, Liqui Moly, Bauhaus, Helvetia and timing partner Longines, all of whom are main sponsors.

All eight partners will benefit from increased exposure through new soft LED lighting banners in the finishing area.

The new boards are said to guarantee better visibility for sponsors in all light conditions.

They will also be used in future FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races for the 2019-2020 season as well as during the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy.

Paper industry company Stora Enso leads the long list of partners for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships as presenting sponsor.

It is joined by main sponsors Haier, Unibet, Manner and timing partner Junghans, all of whom signed new agreements for the event, as well as returning brands Viessmann, Intersport, Liqui Moly, Helvetia and Le Gruyere.

Innovation and sustainability were key drivers in the preparation of in-venue advertising with wooden start and finish installations, and dimmable LED split time tools along the cross-country track.

Infront will also be delivering its media production service to both World Ski Championships for the second time, in an attempt to ensure a high-class product for all partners.

Furthermore, Infront will support host broadcasters ORF and SVT with exclusive content for its social media channels for the first time, giving fans a glimpse of the event from a different angle.

Short-form content and infographics will be provided, taking the "spirit" of both events from the snow to fans' social media streams.
