Scotland's Stewart Anderson secured his second World Indoor Bowls Championships title as he beat Simon Skelton of England in a dramatic open singles final in Norfolk.

Anderson earned his first world crown since 2013 with an 11-5, 6-8, 1-0 victory at the Potters Resort in Great Yarmouth.

Victory for the Scot was sealed with a perfectly-delivered final bowl in the tie-breaker, which wrapped up a tense 2-1 win.

It also ensured Skelton's first individual final at the World Championships ended in defeat.

"It was my day today, I had a bit of luck," Anderson told BBC Sport.

"My family were down and it's great."

Skelton would have gone into the top 16 in the world with a win but was forced to settle for second place after Anderson held his nerve with the crucial last bowl.

"I was happy with the way I played, and the tie-break ends could have gone either way," said Skelton.

"I'm pleased to have pushed him all the way.

"Stewart has played well all week, I knew I would have to dig in."
