Estonia's Kelly Sildaru won a gold and bronze medal on the second day of the Winter X Games in Aspen.

Sildaru has now collected three medals from this year's Winter X Games on Buttermilk Mountain, having achieved silver in the ski superpipe event yesterday.

The 16-year-old won gold in the ski slopestyle event with a score of 99.00 points.

Olympic champion Sarah Hoefflin of Switzerland had to be resigned to the silver medal after scoring 90.00 points, while Maggie Voisin of the United States finished with 87.66 and a bronze.

Sildaru's bronze came in the ski big air final after she achieved 79.00 points.

Switzerland's Mathilde Gremaud won that event with a score of 83.00 points and Norway's Johanne Killi was in second with 80.00.

apan's Takeru Otsuka continued his impressive season with gold in the men's snowboard big air final.

The 17-year-old is currently leading the International Ski Federation Snowboard World Cup big air standings and has taken this form to Aspen.

He achieved a total score of 88.00 points to win gold in the final, narrowly beating Canada's Mark McMorris, who finished with a score of 85.00.

Sweden's Sven Thorgren took the bronze medal with 76.00 points.

Daniel Bodin of Sweden took gold in the snowmobile freestyle final after scoring a total of 91.66 points. 

Canada's Brett Turcotte was second with 90.66 points and Justin Hoyer of the United States came third with 87.33.

The Winter X Games are due to continue tomorrow with the men and women's snowboard slopestyle finals and the men's ski big air final.
