Britain's Sochi 2014 gold medallist Kelly Gallagher and France's quadruple Pyeongchang 2018 champion Marie Bochet maintained their dominant form on the second day of the World Para Alpine Skiing Europa Cup in St Moritz.

Gallagher, guided by Gary Smith, won the second race in the women’s giant slalom vision impaired category after replicating her performance of the previous day and winning both runs, posting times of 55.87sec and 1mim 01.43 sec to earn 77.64 points.

Melissa Perrine of Australia, guided by Bobbi Kelly, took the silver medal with 119.00 points.

Gallagher’s performance of winning both runs on both days was matched by Bochet in the women’s giant slalom standing category.

Times of 52.25 and 55.44 saw her merit a race score of 0.00, with Germany’s Andrea Rothfuss finishing second on 67.46 points ahead of Switzerland’s Bigna Schmidt, who totalled 106.15.

In the women’s giant slalom sitting category, Germany’s seven-times Paralympic champion Anna Schaffelhuber was unbeatable, winning her two runs in 55.86 and 1:01.52 to register 78.28 points.

Her team-mate Anna-Lena Forster was second with 123.60 points, ahead of Japan’s Momoka Muraoka, who scored 144.93.

Jeroen Kampschreur of The Netherlands dominated the men’s giant slalom sitting class in similar fashion, winning both runs on the day in 52.33 and 54.35 to total 47.11 points.

His compatriot Niels de Langen was second with 59.06, and third place went to Canada’s Kurt Oatway on 85.37.

Consistency earned home racer Theo Gmur victory in the men’s giant slalom standing as he placed second on both runs to total 0.00 points with a total time of 1:41.20.

Second place went to Australa’s Mitchell Gourlay, winner of the first run but who was fourth on the second to total 5.76 points with a time of 1:41.87.

Arthur Bauchet of France won the second run, but a fifth place in the first run meant he finished third on 10.92 points with a total of 1:42.47.

Marek Kubacka of Slovakia won the men’s giant slalom vision impaired race with a total of 33.36 race points, ahead of team-mate Miroslav Haraus and Italy;s Giacomo Bertagnolli, who totalled 34.90 and 57.17 respectively.

The Europa Cup - the second-tier World Para Alpine Skiing circuit, below the World Cup.- resumed in Switzerland after the postponement of the last two scheduled events in Pyha in Finland and Pitztal in Austria due to poor weather.
