Britain's Katie Archibald overcame a points race crash to win omnium gold at the International Cycling Union Track World Cup in Berlin.

The 24-year-old three-time world champion finished with 132 points, 14 clear of Italy's Letizia Paternoster.

It added to the gold Archibald won yesterday in the women's team pursuit.

Home rider Joachim Eilers won the men’s one kilometre time trial in 1min 00.645sec, 0.015sec inside the time of silver medallist Quentin Lafargue of France.

Theo Bos beat his Dutch colleague Sam Ligtlee to bronze, recording 1:00.868.

There was Dutch gold in the men’s keirin, where Matthijs Buchli, riding for Beat Cycling Club, won in a time of 10.483.

Silver went to Australia’s Matthew Glaetzer, with Malaysia’s Mohd Awang claiming bronze.

Denmark claimed gold in the men’s madison through Lasse Norman Hansen and Casper von Folsach, who recorded 44 points, 14 clear of the British duo Mark Stewart and Ollie Wood.

Germany’s Roger Kluge and Theo Rheinhardt took bronze with 24 points.

The women's sprint was won by Australia’s Stephanie Morton, who claimed victory in both her duels with Russia’s Anastasiia Voinova without needing to go to a decider.

Olena Starkova of Ukraine beat Russia’s Daria Shmeleva to the  bronze.

Berlin is the third round of six in this year's World Cup series, following rounds in France and Canada, with London being the next venue from December 14 to 16.
