The 18-year-old beat Timothe Bringer of France by two points at the Qing Shui He Ecological Art Park in the Chinese city.

He finished on 93.33, while Bringer got 91.33 points and Alex Alanko of Sweden came third with 90.33 points. 

Slovakian Richard Tury came first in the street skateboard event, scoring 91.00 points.

Joseph Garbaccio of France came second with 85.00 points, while American Kechaud Johnson finished third on 84.38 points.

The final of the International Cycling Union (UCI) women's BMX flatland event also took place, with Japan's Misaki Katagiri taking gold with 77.66 points.

Kruglova Ekaterina of Russia scored 67.66 points to come second and Japan's Eri Funatsu was third with 65.00 points.

Several semi-finals were also held as participants attemptted to qualify for tomorrow's final.

In the UCI women's BMX freestyle park semi-final, Hannah Roberts of the United States topped qualifying with 89.80 points.

Charlotte Worthington of Britain finished second with 87.80 points, while Perris Benegas of the US came third with a score of 86.80 points. 

In the semi-final of the men's BMX freestyle park event, American Dennis Enarson finished first with 89.80 points and Ernests Zebolds qualified in second after scoring 86.60 points.

Rim Nakamura of Japan qualified just behind Zebolds with 86.20 points. 

The semi-finals of the men's BMX flatland event saw Matthias Dandois of France qualify in first with a score 88.50 points and Canada's Jean William Prevost come second on 86.30 points.

Moto Sasaki of Japan qualified in third, scoring 84.50 points.
