The remainder of the second round matches at the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Qatar Classic were played today with Ali Farag of Egypt taking five games to beat compatriot Mohamed Abouelghar in Doha.

Farag, who received a bye into the second round, beat Abouelghar 10-12, 11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 11-9 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

He will play Saurav Ghosal of India in the third round after he eased past Leo Au of Hong Kong 11-2, 11-3, 11-5.

Seed number three, Tarek Momen of Egypt, beat Nicolas Mueller of Switzerland 11-4, 11-7, 11-7 to progress to the third round and set-up a tie with England's James Willstrop.

Willstrop had won against Max Lee of Hong Kong 11-6, 4-11, 11-8, 11-9.

Mathieu Castagnet of France and Joel Makin of Wales will meet in the next round, after Castagnet beat Cameron Pilley of Australia 16-14, 11-2, 11-8 and Makin shocked sixth seed Miguel Angel Rodriquez of Colombia 11-4, 6-11, 11-7, 10-12, 11-9.

Egypt's Karim Abdel Gawad was victorious against Eain Yow Ng of Malaysia, winning in five games 9-11, 11-13, 11-3, 11-4, 11-4.

He will now play Declan James of England who beat Egypt's Karim Ali Fathi 11-6, 11-9, 11-4.

Tomorrow will see the first half of the third round matches played at the World Tour event.
