Norway and Finland each lead their respective groups at the 2018 World Mixed Curling Championships in Canada, with three wins from three games.

The Finns head Group B after beating Australia in today's evening session 9-6, while Norway top Group D thanks to wins over both the hosts and Japan at the Kelowna Curling Club.

The match against Canada was very close and ended with the Norwegians just one point ahead at 5-4.

"I think we had good weight and line and good team efforts," said Norway's captain Ingvild Skaga.

"I think we knew that we could have beaten Canada if we played our best game, so we didn't think too much about it.

"It gives us a lot of confidence, it's great beating Canada."

In contrast the Japan match was a much more one-sided affair, with the final score reading 14-3 in Norway's favour.

It means Norway top the group with three wins from three matches, having also beaten Slovenia on the first day, 6-2.
