Iran claimed a hat-trick of gold medals as the United World Wrestling (UWW) Junior World Championships continued in Trnava in Slovakia.

The country won big on a night of Greco-Roman finals at the Mestská športová venue.

They triumphed in the lightest category, 55 kilograms, as Pouya Mohammad Naserpour defeated Armenia's Tigran Minasyan 9-4.

Emin Narimanovitch Sefershaev of Russia and Vijay Vijay of India bagged the bronze medals.

Iran also won the heaviest weight category with the 130kg title going to Amin Mohammadzaman Mirzazadeh, a 5-0 winner over David Ovasapyan of Armenia.

Bronzes went to American Cohlton Schultz and Germany's Franz Richter.

Mohammadhadi Abdollah Saravi won Iranian gold at 87kg.

He defeated Ramon Betschart 5-0 as bronzes went to Russia's Ilia Ermolenko and Nazarshah Fatullayev of Azerbaijan. 

Russia and Kyrgyzstan won the other two gold medals available today.

Islam Opiev won for the former at 77kg, seeing off Sajan Sajan of India 8-0.

Both Akzhol Makhmudov of Kyrgyzstan and Norway's Per Anders Kure won bronze.

Kyrgyzstan won gold at 63kg as Erbol Bakirov defeated Egypt's Hassan Mohamed 4-1.

Azamat Martinovitch Kairov of Russia and Krisztian Istvan Vancza of Hungary won bronze. 

More finals will be contested tomorrow.
