World number one ranked New Zealand secured two victories as the Men's Softball Intercontinental Cup in Prague continued today.

New Zealand were hoping to respond after suffering defeat to Argentina yesterday at the Svoboda Ballpark in the Czech capital.

They began the day with a comfortable 15-0 success against Denmark.

A 5-0 win over Japan followed in their second tie of the day.

Japan had earlier clinched a narrow 2-1 success against Argentina

The result sees Japan and New Zealand head the standings with three wins and one defeat from their matches so far.

Argentina lie in third place.

Denmark currently lie bottom of the standings.

The event features countries from five continents as well as the Czechs, who gained an automatic place as hosts.

Prague will also hold the WBSC Men’s Softball World Championships in 2019.

The top four sides at the end of the round robin will contest the semi-finals.

The winners of those matches will go head-to-head in the final.
