A busy programme of International University Sports Federation (FISU) World Championship action is due to continue tomorrow with a rowing regatta in Shanghai.

The 15th World University Rowing Championships is scheduled to take place at the Guangming Stadium over three days of competition until Sunday (August 12).

Heats are due to take place in all events before repêchages and semi-finals tomorrow.

Rowing is a sport steeped in university traditions perhaps more than any other, with the annual Boat Race between the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford one of the oldest and most prestigious races on the calendar.
