Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Belcho Goranov, alongside National Olympic Academy director Lozan Mitev, launched a new book about wrestling in Sofia.

The pair presented their work, called The Educational Values of Wrestling, at the National Museum of Archaeology in the capital.

Goranov is heavily involved in the sport and is President of United World Wrestling's Ethical and Legal Commission.

"You will not find any techniques, tactics or ranking in this book," he said.

"It is about the human qualities and shows how this ancient sport leads you to struggle overcoming yourself and your own fears.

"If you manage to overcome them, you are the winner."

The book has been published after almost a year of research.

UWW European Council President Tzeno Tzenov was among the guests at the launch, alongside double Olympic champions in wrestling, Boyan Radev and Petar Kirov.

Bulgaria's Minister of Youth and Sport Krasen Kralev was another to attend.

"It is very useful and interesting book," said Tzenov.
